Biography

Francesca Grimaldi, known artistically as Astasia in some of her works, was born in 1995 in Montecchio Emilia.

From a young age, she developed a deep passion for drawing, nature, and animals, subjects that remain at the heart of her artistic research today.

After attending the Gaetano Chierici Art School in Reggio Emilia, majoring in ceramics, where she explored various artistic and decorative techniques, she continued her career as a self-taught painter, developing over time a personal style strongly inspired by the natural and symbolic world, using only oil and tempera paints.

Her art explores the emotional relationship between instinct, emotion, and nature through intense colors, expressive textures, and detailed painted miniatures.

Her works depict animals, female figures, and symbolic elements immersed in poetic and evocative atmospheres, where delicacy and intensity coexist in balance.

Influenced by wildlife, romanticism, and an evocative aesthetic, Francesca creates intimate and instinctive visual worlds, seeking through painting that silent connection between inner emotion and the pristine beauty of the natural world.
